Apricot Scones are fairly easy to bake. To bake these scones, follow the following recipe.

First of all, this is what you will need:

2 Small cups of your favourite manufacturers flour
Half a teaspoon of baking soda
Half a cup of sour cream
Two teaspoons of milk
Quarter of a teaspoon of salt
Three tblspoons sugar
Third cup butter
A Single egg beaten lightly
A cup of dried apricots (chopped)
2 spoons baking powder (tea spoons)
and finally...a tablespoon of sugar

Here's how to make your apricot scones

Firstly pre-heat your oven to 4 hundred degrees. Grease baking sheet - do this lightly. Next get a medium sized mixing bowl and combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar and salt.

Slice in the cold butter with a fork until the mixture is crumbly. Next add in your egg together with the sour cream.

Stirr until the dry ingredients are moist and then mix in the dried apricots that have been finely chopped.

Turn out the scone mixture dough onto a lightly floured area and knead lightly 5 times. Flatten dough to an 8 inch circle on a greased baking sheet.

Brush top of mix with milk and spread the 1 tablespoon of sugar. Cut out 8 wedges using a scone cutting tool or knife.

Finally bake your scone recipe mixture at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with butter and jam.
