How to Freeze Baked Scones
Before freezeing scones, ensure the scones have cooled down. Wrap the scones in an airtight packaging and or freeze. To reheat the scones, unwrap them, thaw them and then place onto a baking sheet in a 350 degrees oven for 10 minutes or until warm.
You can freeze unbaked scones for later cooking, if you prefer. Once you have your dough cut into rounds, place them on a baking sheet and place, uncovered in your freezer. The dough will freeze after about one hour.
Once your scones are firm, put them into a zip bag and place them back in your freezer.
When you are ready to enjoy - remove as many as you require, and let them sit at room temperature on a piece of baking paper while you preheat the oven. Your scones should only be allowed to thaw as long as it takes the oven to preheat. Once the oven is ready, put the scones onto a fresh baking sheet and bake. You may need to increase the baking time by a few minutes.
