Scone Recipe Ingredient - Milk

When baking scones, you may ask the question which type of milk should I use, full fat, semi-skimmed, skimmed.

Milk is a key scone ingredient along with baking powder, flour etc and the type of milk you use can greatly change the taste of your finished scone.

This decision is often down to you - the person baking the scones and of course if the scone recipe you are using specifies a particular type of milk to use.

Generally speaking, semi-skimmed milk is often recommended for baking scones - the 'half way house' in calories etc.

Also, cows milk is usually used although you can experiment with other types of milk in your scones such as goats milk.
