Strawberry Scone Recipe

Recipe makes around 12 scones

What you need..

2.50 cups of all purpose (unsifted) flour
3 tablespoons of sugar
Single cup of fresh Strawberries
2 teaspoons Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
6 tablespoons Butter or margarine
2/3 cup Milk
Strawberry Scone Recipe


Heat your oven to 425 degrees.
Slice strawberries
In a large dish mix together sugar, flour, salt and baking powder and then add the butter.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
Mix in some strawberries
Add all of the milk and then with a fork, toss together until the mixture holds together well.
With floured hands gently form into a ball.
On a floured surface roll out the dough 1/2 inch thick with a rolling pin.
Cut the dough into 2 1/2 inch circles with a cutter.
Place the uncooked scones on greased cookie sheet and bake until golden, about 12 minutes; serve your scones warm with whipped cream and extra strawberries.
