Tea Scone Recipe

Makes about seven or eight scone

For these tea scones, you will need six tablespoons of margarine (we reccommend you take this out of the fridge for a while to allow it to soften).

You will also need 2 cups of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, half a tablespoon of salt and one tablespoon of baking powder. Finally 1/2 a cup of raisins, a single beaten egg and half a cup of milk.

Slice margarine into your dry ingredients.Next add in the raisins,the egg and the milk. Mix all this together until the soft dough sticks together. Knead on a lightly floured board a number of times and then shape into balls. Flatten and cut out the dough using a cutter until you have 7 or 8 pieces. Place them on an ungreased baking sheet so that they don't touch. Bake your scones at 425F until they are golden brown. This should take around 12 minutes.

Cool your scones on a rack and serve.
